CSLB: A – General Engineering Contractor

Updated: Jan 10, 2020

President and Co-founder of Construction 1, RFC, Inc., Ron Fowzer, earned his A-General Engineering Contractor’s license from the Contractor’s State License Board in March 1992. The Contractors State License Board offers 44 different classifications, with A-General Engineering Contractor being the most difficult to acquire. This process entailed approximately 8 months of studying to prepare for the exam, which is comprised of a section on construction law and a section on the trade. In total, this exam last approximately 6 hours.

This prestigious achievement sets Construction 1 a part from similar companies with B or C classification licenses through the ability to complete or directly manage a project from beginning to end. This means that not only is Construction 1 licensed to personally complete a project entirely in house, but we are also licensed to manage any and all sub-contractors, providing the customer a single point of contact and communication.
