Annual Maintenance: Caliber Collision

Updated: Jun 25, 2020

Construction 1, RFC recently completed the annual maintenance and booth clean for Caliber Collision in Salinas, CA (formerly Abbott Street Auto Body). As is standard for Construction 1, RFC, this booth cleaning included thoroughly cleaning both the interior and exterior of the booth, ensuring all mechanics were operating properly including the computer systems, and installing new ceiling and floor filters.

Another standard service and the final step of a booth cleaning for Construction 1, RFC is the application of booth guard to the spray booth cabin. Booth guard is a non-tacky solution that is designed to protect the interior spray booth walls, windows, lights, and fixtures to ensure optimal lighting and spray booth cleanliness.

(While there are many brands of booth guard on the market, Construction 1, RFC prefers and recommends 3M™ Booth Coating.)

3M™ Booth Coating conveniently sprays on with standard spray equipment and dries quickly into a dirt resistant film that will not smear or smudge. Then, during the next booth cleaning, this coating easily washes off with water.

Construction 1, RFC installed the Nova Verta Spray Booth at Caliber Collision nearly two decades ago and due to regular maintenance and annual cleanings, this booth continues to look like new and operate at peak performance.

Following their most recently booth cleaning, Caliber Collision General Manager, Ed Gularte, had this to say:

“Construction 1 RFC installed our new booth 17 years ago and we have been using them ever since for our paint booth, air compressor, and lifts yearly maintenance. Ron and his crew do a great job and if anything ever comes up he always comes here to take care of the issue right away. If anyone ever asks who to call for any maintenance or repair I always recommend Ron at Construction 1 RFC.”
